According to Mexican security officials, a Mexican citizen who had been refused entry by the United States hanged himself on a river bridge between the two countries’ border. The incident took place on Monday morning, and the Mexican citizen was identified as 24-year-old Alberto Alonso Soto. Soto had been traveling from Michoacan, Mexico to Texas with the hope of eventually finding a job in the United States. Officials say that Soto had been turned down for entry into the United States multiple times and was despondent over his situation.
